Would you please tell me if boron increases TNF beta? I am thinking about buying a boron supplement but do not want to increase TNF beta. I have erectile dysfunction and do not want to increase the chances for penile fibrosis and reactive oxygen speciies. Thank you.

Randy

I have dupyuters contracters, and would like to know if butyrate will make my condition worse? Is it safe to continue taking it?

I would like to know how to specifically prevent tgf-b from causing dermal fat loss with aging. Now that we know it’s the cause – and that dermal fat loss is the number one cause of wrinkles and saggy arms, then on to fragile skin – why isn’t there a lot more discussion about it?

I would like to understand why recent studies show that higher tgf-b levels with aging cause subcutaneous fat loss under skin ( wrinkles, sagging) while another study shows lack of tgf-b is the cause of uterine cancer.
Will piog save skin fat ( a p gamma activator and lipodystrophy treatment ) while at same time thickening uterus – a very bad thing?

Long time Lynne disease and digestive issues. Does that indicate something in addition of what you wrote here and on the th17 page? Thanks!

Thank you for this succinct information. I have breast cancer and my TGF beta 1 dropped from 18,000 to roughly 4,000 over the last month. Do you know any research of hyperbaric treatments with lowering the TGF beta 1?
Thanks

I was highly allergic to the new company’s pill and was very sick all year. We didn’t catch this new company or allergy. I had so many things wrong and food intolerances came from blood work. However, after eliminating all this my symptoms were not resolved so Dr. went the mold route. 14 vials of blood for all the mold markers. ANY way. I show markers for mold sickness but my TGF Beta 1 scores were raised with the Losartan! I got off med after a year and the TGF Beta scores went below 2308. My symptoms went away. So HOw s it my scores were up on Losartan? The only symptoms I have now is fatigue and the vegas nerve going haywire.

Do you know if TGF-beta Inhibitors would be effective in reducing the damage of Marfan’s Syndrome?

I’m doing a lot of research into Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (Type 4 to be exact with a mutation on the transforming growth factor beta-2 ligand “TGFΒ2”). I assume the increase of TGF in the beta-2 acts the same as an increase of beta-1 and that perhaps the same things used to decrease it cross both.

I admire your research skills, this is the only list of TGF beta inhibitors I was able to find. So this has saved me time crawling through pubmed(which I had already been doing for hours. Are you aware of any other TGF-Beta inhibitors, that you may not have included, such as pharmaceuticals like Perfenidone?

Thank you.

(Awesome website BTW)

This makes sense as Ritchie Shoemaker’s protocol works and addresses TGFb last.
https://web.archive.org/web/20150306213104/http://www.woodlandhillspharmacy.com/biotoxin_illness.html

Unfortunately the etiology of chronic TGFb activation is not well understood:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transforming_growth_factor_beta#Activation
Wikipedia lists ROS, injury, MMP as activators.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transforming_growth_factor_beta#Integrin-independent_activation

If you know someone with CIRS they might want to check for MARCoNs: http://biotoxinjourney.com/marcons/
That article explains how to do it correctly.
