good article!
questions:
1) do you think it’s better to take Resistant starches (a mix) or butyrate?
2) How to know which RS is adequate for us? Is it defined according to symptoms like constipation or diarrhea or stool analysis etc?…
Cheers

Around 3 hrs ago I tried 80g of the same resistant corn starch you personally recommended as per your daily regime. Almost immediately consuming, I noticed a noticeable cognitive dulling effect. My head space felt weird, I stumbled on my words when talking to people, and I felt kind of brain fogged. Really off feeling. Now 3 hrs later I feel like it’s dissipated by approx 75% and I feel a slight mood boost that I’m hoping really kicks in 20hrs later as you mentioned happens with you.

My question is do you experience this fogginess aswell? Does it dissipate as your body gets used to supplement? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe.

The differences were large, initially believed to be genetic. Examining the saliva of the test subjects revealed only one difference. Enamel corrosion is caused by glucose consuming bacteria common in the mouth producing acid corroding the teeth. The longer time it takes to recover neutral saliva, the longer corrosion time from the same sweet. Subjects with slow recovery times had low levels of acetate in the saliva, while those with rapid recovery had high saliva acetate levels.
Acetate is one of the fatty acids gut bacteria produces from resistant starch. Has a link been proven?
Weston Price found perfect teeth, often never brushed on indigenous people not exposed to refined carbs, while members of the same tribes that had changed to them often were plagued by rotten teeth and chronic disease.
