it is an excellent alternative to pharmaceutical drugs for my chronic pain
i take around 2mg 3xday of different stains each dose
so i mix white red or green over the day
i love phenibut
i so wish i could take it daily but i agree that it is easily addictive and needs increased dosing
i took it daily for a month a couple of years ago and loved it
the euphoria and social ease is wonderful
it made me feel ‘normal’
but as mentioned
the withdrawal was brutal
so now i take phenibut occasionally and still enjoy it very much
i would be interested in finding out how russian doctors prescribe it and manage it
it does not mix with alcohol at all
makes for wonderful sleep
in my opinion both of these supplements taken wisely are better than pharmaceutical drugs
i have experienced both
i found pharmaceutical drugs change me emotionally and psychologically in a negative way
kratom and phenibut do not
agreed these supplements are not to be taken lightly but used wisely can be very beneficial
i also take gabapentin for nerve pain
it is also highly addictive and needs increased dosing
all doctor prescribed anti-depressants are also addictive and cause severe withdrawals if one stops taking them
of course there are horror stories of people who have abused these supplements taking huge doses needing hospitalisation
i would suggest that there are likely many many more hospitalisations involving doctor prescribed drugs
thank either kratom or phenibut
mainstream medicine does not like alternative therapies
it takes away their power over us

There is almost no credible clinical data on phenibut, so it is hard to make wise “clinical” decisions about taking it—in particular for insomnia. I have suffered with insomnia since childhood (I am now 60 years old) and have been on many prescribed sleep medications without long term success.
I recently began taking 1500 mg of phenibut each night for sleep. After three weeks, I have not yet developed any tolerance and have not experienced any unpleasant side effects.
Can you tell me the half-life of the drug? Is anything known about long-term effects? Is there any known possibility that phenibut
might cause agitation and/or aggression during the daytime?
Many thanks!

I stopped because it caused me to clench my jaw really tight at night to the point that it was sore in the morning, have really intense dreams that would make me sweat profusely while sleeping and I’d wake up panting and heart pounding. I still have the teeth clenching and sweating while sleeping (so freaking annoying) and the dreams are about half as intense. Sucks to still have these effects years later. Wish I never took it.

Your mental state isn’t affected very much (i.e. you’re basically sober when you’re on it), but the after effects are like coming down off of drugs. I would stay away from it unless you’re looking for a ‘legal high’ – in which case you should take it before you drink alcohol.
