I won’t be going back on the bene gene. It is so expensive!
What are the “better options” you mention?

The first day I took it late afternoon, and although I had a bit of difficulty getting to sleep, Oura showed two long periods of deep sleep and I felt good the next day. Took another that morning and felt good. Will keep monitoring but this looks like a keeper. My opinion – not willing to wait for pundits. I look at the science myself and perfectly valid anecdotal evidence and make a judgement.

Do you have an opinion on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You mentioned in the article that there are other things, better researched, that would do what oxaloacetate studies claim to do. Thanks!

How do I know if my GOT enzyme is working as it should or if it needs a boost of sorts? Does your system look for those snps? I can find things on the NAD enzyme, GAD, and many others. But what about GOT? It would be good to know if there’s a mutation of sorts to understand if Oxaloacetate would be necessary or not as a supplement. If I increase Citric acid & Malate, it should help, but there could be issues within the Kreb cycle for individuals. I do feel that I have more glutamate than I should & have been on a quest as to “why” for years. I have a few GAD impairments, but other than that, I don’t have answers.

Thank you for the concise and yet still informative and specific information about oxaloacetate. So appreciate fact-based and informative articles on the web.

I wonder if any of the US companies selling it are manufacturing it themselves, or are they just buying it in bulk from China and repackaging it at a tremendous mark-up. 30 capsules of 100 mg each goes for $50 if you just buy one bottle. That’s 60 mg per dollar. If you can buy 1 kg for $10, that’s 100,000 mg per $. In other words, retail is a markup of 1,667%! Nice work if you can get it.

Have not been one due to business issues, sorry. As the other reader stated 100mg is a good point to start at, it may be all you need. I really never felt much of a difference when I upped my dose as high as 1000mg, which is what the brain cancer patients use. I now use 200mg daily and my blood sugar is normally in the 70’s which is great and no more brain fog. One thing I would like to stress, whatever problem you have can more or less be linked to the gut biome, learn about it and the use of probiotics, I did and now my Sjogren’s is basically eliminated and I am working long hours again, lol. The secret to health is in your gut. Best of luck.

John –

What dose do you take? I’ve seen recommendations that range all across the board, so don’t want to begin with too much or too little. Thanks!

It is the designated product for BRAIN CANCERS. I guess they made it a separate product due to some FDA policy or something. It is exactly the same in all respects, you also have the option of bulk purchases to save money, since the cancer patients use higher levels for treatment. They offer a 12 pack for $300, including shipping, so it comes to $25 per bottle,a bit of a savings. Personally I use this product for issues of brain fog due to an autoimmune issue, really makes a difference. Before using it I had issues with short term memory, now things are much improved, would not go without it. Hope this helps someone.
