Or does it thin your blood? I’m on Warfarin blood thinner. Need to know, please.

While absolutely amazed at how the monkfruit sweaten tea tastes the exact same if not better than traditional sugar-made southern sweet tea, I proceeded to consume multiple glasses. Enjoying such a favorite southern staple for the first time in my keto journey was life-changing and full of enjoyment! However, within an hour as I was heading to bed for the night, my day came crashing down!! I had lost the ability to urinate via the biologically designed method which involves the urethra. Instead the next 8 hours consisted of frequent visits to the toilet in which I can only describe as alternating between normal bowel movements and what can only be described as urinating from my anus. These two events while sharing the same exit point from my body always remained as two separate and distinct events. It very much felt as though I was either urinating or having a solid bowel movement. Just never mixed in what one might describe a s diarrhea – nothing about this experience would I describe as diarrhea as solids and liquids were always discharged as separate events and the ability to urinated normally seemed to be temporarily suspended regardless of the amount of water I started consuming. Please tell me someone else has had a similar experience and I am not some freakish monkfruit victim.

Would it be appropriate to continue to use this product for baking when a low oxalate diet is required?

That quest should be given up. Same goes for the quest for meat and chocolate substitutes. Stevia, Monk fruit, Veggie burgers, and carob are all delicious and shouldn’t be compared, called or sold as replacements to other foods. They are unique, different and often require time to acquire the taste. They all deserve more respect.
Love the monk fruit in soy milk.
Nice article. Tons of info. Bizarrely more thorough than any where else. Most seems accurate, though medical benefits (cancer fighting/longevity) seem minimal at best (hence the disclaimer). I’m still trying to verify some of the scientific claims (wish there were more sources listed).
I’m still eating a fruit a day for it’s flavor so any of the possible positive side effects are a bonus.
BTW, Monk Fruit (Luo Han Guo) is used alot in chinese medicine for coating and calming sore throats especially for singers and teachers.
Thanks selfhacked and the author Joe.
