The AngII gene creates more dopamine. This is interesting because my Angiotensin Converting enzyme makes too much angiotensin II (from 1 parent) and my angiotebsin II receptors are overactive (from 2 parents)-hence hypertension treated affectively with an arb—however–from both parents I am positive for
COMT gene, which causes slow methlylation of dopamine—so it is as though the COMT gene counteracts the ang II gene as far as dopamine goes. Also, all quinolone antibiotics raise dopamine- so if you are (+,+) for the COMT gene taking Avalox could give you a petite mal seizure. Before reading your article I was not aware that there were so many snps affecting dopamine.

I have the AA alleles for the gene ABAT. I’ve been having symptoms of a defieciantcy for years, and it’s been getting worse it seems. I have adhd symptoms, but none of the Medications work. Any links to studies or direction for treatments? Thanks
