I have been trying to get rid of gallbladder polyps and wondered about using Tudca or Ox Bile to help get rid of the polyps but worried that it may be connected to cancer risk, I have found that drinking to tablespoons of apple cider vinegar stops the attacks but cannot take this daily as it gives me reflux, this is the reason I think I have gb problems in the first place as Ive been on PPI’s for GERD for 26yrs, bad bugs probably migrated to the small intestine and started attacking the gut and ended up creating a leaky gut (10yrs ago became gluten and dairy intolerant) a damaged gut then affects GB emptying and bile stasis is likely seeing as CKK enzymes are interfered with or the messaging process is interfered with, I need to stop taking PPIs (Omeprazole) but dont know how, as soon as I reduce to half a dose I get reflux from hell, any ideas on how I can heal will be appreciated, I have a hiatal hernia and so this make it difficult to just up my acid levels as I get more reflux when I do. Hi very interesting article on bile salts. Are either of you Joe/Ana familiar with SIBO/EPI Connection? I’m diagnosed with SIBO 2016/17 and years later as SIBO c methane never went away fully I now have exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. I don’t believe it’s due to chronic pancreatitis. I now have histamine issues and a plethora of other issues and I blame it on SIBO not being fully treated even tho symptoms would go away other medical issues came about. I’m very interested if you know more about the bile salts bc my gastro here in Scotland although I’m American and stuck here doesn’t know anything about this and I’m growing sicker. Thanks for any help here

I increased a ox bile only supplement to 3x 500mg with meals yesterday. I also took with an enzyme supplement. I still have my gallbladder with a history of 1 small stone. I felt a dull pain on right and left sides of my mid session around midnite. Decide to take a cup of goat kefir then. Now awake I’m feeling a little soreness.. Won’t be doing that again. Could I have caused any damage to myself?

And how to take bile? Some say its alcaline, but if youre low in bile wouldnt it be good to take some/a bit prior to meals to make sure you already have some bile to break food down? Or would the alkaline effect give you even worse digestion cause it lowers stomach ph and you should only take it afterwards? Or would taking betain hcl along with bile right before meal counter the alkaline effect properly enough?

Re people who have had gall bladder surgically removed. Can bile supplements eg Ox bile cause elevated Liver Enzymes? I am thinking that there may not be sufficient research into how the supplements are metabolised by the liver. It is possible that supplements can cause :-
1) negative feedback loop so that liver reduces the amount of endogenous Bile it produces naturally
2) Liver enzymes are activated to metabolise artficial supplement leading to elevated LFTs

I am confused about the recommendations of bile acids
and bile salts and then the cancer causes. Above it
feels like you should take it and then it ends with
