I’ve got a potentially life saving story to share, thanks to bentonite. While I traveled to and lived in Dominica for 8 months, I was taking care of a friends dog. They often poison dogs there and treat them not unlike rats… I also noticed they had left out bread for rats that was covered in poison. I was warned by my neighbors that such a dog could easily be poisoned by someone. I had brought some bentonite clay with me to help in case of parasites and other illness. It basically is a more powerful version of activated charcoal [more on that below]; My dog came home one day and she was so sick she could not even stand up on her front legs, she started wobbling left and right and was so dizzy she could not even see straight. It all came on so quickly. She started convulsing in her stomach, as though she was about to purge. I immediately grabbed an empty glass pop bottle and filled it with 10-15 grams of bentonite granules, and filled it with water… I shook it up and forced it down her throat, lifting her head up so she had no choice but to drink it… she drank all of it. Within about 5 minutes her symptoms COMPLETELY SUBSIDED. She was up and walking around and never even puked! I may have saved her life! Now I put some in the bottom of my cats water dish at all times, and if I had a dog I would do the same! ALWAYS leaving some there to clean the water, and to help clean them up, when the dish begins running dry.

Activated charcoal is created when 1000+ degree temperature charcoal is hit with steam. Bentonite is volcanic ash that rose up in the oceans and fresh water where it came into contact with the water and hence you have a very similar product that acts on similar principals.

Its great to add to inorganic juice as well. I am very sensitive to inorganic juice, it gave me severe reactions. I threw in a tablespoon, shook it up, left it over night, and the next day I had no problem drinking it what-so-ever. Just do not drink the gunk at the bottom, it made me deathly ill. I thought it had trapped it in but it was able to be absorbed. I suspect it works better swallowing it in lumps, than as a liquid…. the liquid version will coat everything in the digestive system, whereas a lump as a whole will have a far more powerful charge to it.
