Can you separate them in fungal/candida and bacteria biofilms. Candida biofilm are the worst especially in sinus. Each night they get stuck in sinus and from there create inflamation in whole body.

I see you said here that you have biofilm coming out if you and I think I’m dealing with the same thing but I’m curious how you’d come to the conclusion that what’s coming out of you is biofilm?

Enjoyed reading your info on biofilm. Have had lung infections for at least 47 years. Know that nothing ( no antibiotic ) helps me and so look to those like you for help. Have recently been using extracts of Lomatium, hyssop and cayenne with added minced garlic 2-3-xs a day. I also take oregano p73 and olive leaf. I don’t notice much change (color of sputum or volume per day). But am able to function until and when I learn of what I can do to make that happen.

Thank you for this great information! I have a bio-film build up in my left ankle (2003), thou I knew & my body knew Doctors (several) no help? Last 5 yrs. I learned what I was dealing with, and am treating myself with all natural cures. Doing much better, and a slow eradication of these bacteria’s is working. Ankle is still swollen, but is slowing healing. One must stay on top and I think to change some Disruptor back and forth seems to help also. Thanks again.

Thank you for this article. Can this be helpful in SIBO as well? Especially the one caused by overgrowth of lactobacillus? But ACV, garlic and onions (qucertine))) are not allowed in low FODMAP diet. Can they still be used to get rid of the biofilms? ACV is also a prebiotic. Would it actually feed the good bacteria and increase their numbers?

Looking forward to this. I have so much Biofilm coming out of me it’s insane. 17 strait days now. I’m talking pouring out of my scalp. I can’t really see it, kind of do with white flakes and on skin for sure. I have Lupus and Addison’s Disease as well as Post Treated Neurological Lyme Disease. When I contracted Lyme I also contracted high levels of another co infection called Anaplasmosis. Praying to find some help and relief. Thank You so very much! What an incredible article!

Thank you, there is s lot of informative information that I can research. I have been dealing with Demodicosis for 2 yrs & 8 months ago fungus, mostly furfur. After learning about biofilms I've decided to further look into how to destroy them. I try to go as natural as possible, it has been quite the challenge. There are days I just have to shutdown. Thank you for your long list! I am reviewing what I have learned in order to re-add somethings that I was using to get rid of biofilm. When one thing did not do the trick, I abandoned it, but I now realize that you have to hit it with an arsenal of remedies and keep firing at the biofilm defenses all day long. Lemon water is very helpful in healing the skin in the wake of these infections and the acetic acid penetrates biofilm and helps kill it.

Scientist research shows that camphor, eucalyptus and menthol stop quorum sensing in biofilm, so I put Vicks Vapor rub on my feet. This caused red blood blisters under the skin, showing that the biofilm was dying. The palms and feet are thinner, so they absorb it more quickly.

The quorum sensing suggests that the biofilm has crossed the line from an infection to become a parasite. They are talking to each other. They are a united force! This is why killing it off is so overwhelming. They all die off at the same time. Sipping a tsp of activated charcoal at night will take away the pains of toxicity.

The link is about using Iron salts to disrupt lung based biofilms caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa in Cystic Fibrosis patients. Very specific application. Apparently the iron works very well in those cases, at least in the experiments. This was a petri dish experiment, so the salts were applied topically to the biofilms, not taken internally by live patients as when taken as a supplement or food, so this may have no application to the kinds of biofilms we are generally talking about here.

I wonder if taking very high dose herbs for an autoimmune issue if I broke up a biofilm and that was the cause of new autoimmune symptoms in skin and eye that took quite awhile to subside.

I do not understand under EDTA where it says that Calcium, iron, magnesium, zinc, strengthen the biofilm structures but then lists them all below as disrupters?? Need help as my doctor and I think this means I should stop those supplements.

Great website that lists so many things for biofilms! I have been doing many of these. I have crohns/colitis where biofilms are present but also sibo & h.pylori, the main things I have been trying to eradicate this year. I only wish I could see the progress. Trying to eradicate h.pylori & (Bacillus Spp., Entericcus Faecalis, Straphylococcus spp., Sreptococcus spp. & Prevotella Corpi).
