There was a song playing on the radio, in a tv show (on a tv that was a prop in the background), of a movie scene from a film (based on a book...though movies never seem to stick to the story of books!) - that since we were watching on youtube, (on a computer with small speakers), could barely make out the lyrics...

So, we grabed our phones and by using the 'shazam' app, found the title of the song on the radio/in a tv show/in a movie/based on a book/playing off youtube/on our computer -  and it gave us the song "television rules the nation".

This struck me as humorous when a youtube advertisement interrupted the film to promote the new works by the author (whose book was the basis for the film we were watching!) - a story of an author who is investigated then branded a communist (and blacklisted from the industry) after writing a campy sci-fi television screenplay about a communist takeover of the nation - using a tv broadcast that hypnotizes and enslaves it's viewers.
